Video Case Study: ISO22301 Certification, The University of Surrey

A video case study of the University of Surrey achieving ISO 22301 certification – a project led by Incident Ready’s Managing Director Justin Cuckow

The video case study, linked above, sets out a brief summary of the benefit of certification.

As Business Continuity Manager for the University of Surrey I was responsible for the design, implementation and certification of the University’s Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) to ISO22301. This process took just under two years from a very low base to certification of all areas of service delivery, teaching, research, accommodation and professional services, with no nonconformities.

The University of Surrey was the first University in the UK to obtain certification and continues to maintain their certification, recognising the wide array of benefits that this brings. The short video case study produced with the BSI highlights what a robustly embedded BCMS looks like.

Client feedback

“Your ISO 22301 project was, in my experience, simply the most successful and effective project I have seen at Surrey and no one else but you can take the credit for it. You are very good at what you do!”

James Newby – Director of Business Improvement, University of Surrey
